Visiting the rooftop pool is a must. It gives you a different perspective of Semarang.

Our Story:
The hotel is quite easy to find and it’s right next to Java Supermall so we have no problem whatsoever with the location. Parking is really small and lobby is packed (maybe because we arrived on Christmas’ Eve). Check-in took us almost an hour and the deposit/booking fee, etc was quite complicated despite booking straight through their website. The good thing is that the receptionist is friendly and helpful.
The room wasn’t ready... and it smelled like cigarettes. I have no idea about whether the 19th floor we’re staying is a smoking floor (I guess not). We finally get a room in the corner and it’s a little odd with “extra” windows/space to the side, half-hidden behind the closet. Nevertheless, the room is comfy. “It’s quite small, Mom,” he says when I asked him about the hotel. “But I love the swimming pool.” Andrew picked the window side of the bed immediately because the view is awesome.
Bathroom is small. But the amenities are complete. The highlight of the stay is of course the rooftop infinity pool. View is great, pool is big enough and there’s a place for us to sit down and enjoy a drink or two. Breakfast is delicious (Andrew had his usual cereal, toast, and rice routine). The staffs are helpful (they helped him made the toast).
Recommended:
- Ask for a higher floor for a better view.
- I’d personally go against the corner room if you have small children in the company. That ‘extra’ space behind the closet can be dangerous for curious young children.
- Make sure you swim at night too... view is great!
- Parking can be a hassle, if you enter Semarang by car, don’t arrive too late. Otherwise, go around the city by public transport or becak to avoid struggling for parking later on.
